Ghadames

Ghadames, the pearl of the desert, is an ancient community settled by 7 clans around a Saharan oasis over 2,000 years ago. The settlement served as a caravan stop along the Saharan trade routes. Today it sits on the borders of Nigeria, Algeria and Libya. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
