Overview
It may seem like something put together by a space agency; or at least a few spacecraft engineers. But Base Camp is just the latest earth experience by Escape Enterprises.
It seems sometimes that the sky is simply what brings the weather. Or that the expanse of air above our heads is vast and endless. In reality, we are all moving around in a relatively thin layer of atmosphere encircling the earth. It is our perspective that gives us this sensation.
Stellargaze celebrates our experience on the land and our place in the night sky. The program features future astronauts from the Purdue Department of Engineering showing us how to read the night sky and how to think about our next ventures in it.
Itinerary
FRIDAY
KANKAKEE SANDS – Tour the park’s grasslands and see Bison.
DINNER – Provided by Canteen, a prepared foods company. Items are waiting for you to finish cooking when you return to base.
OVERNIGHT – Stellar Base, modern pods clustered in the open plains with clear views to the night sky. Living quarters include roof windows for viewing from the sleep chamber.
SATURDAY
LUNCH – Catered by Bossaer Farms.
TERRA FARMA – A regenerative farm presentation and local farm tour.
DINNER – Provided by Canteen, a prepared foods company. Items are waiting for you to finish cooking when you return.
STELLAR GAZE – A presentation by Purdue the Department of Engineering and future astronauts in training. They explain the night sky and the newest endeavors in space.

SUNDAY
BRUNCH/LUNCH – Sahm’s Smokehouse
